Mean Girls, Clueless- chick flicks, all about boys, sex, under control of a man- patriarchy. Charlie's angles and Lara Croft- tight clothes, skimpy shorts, sexy erotic object- furfills the male gaze, shows a man has the power and authority to objectify a women. She's the man- another text showing how a women needs to become a man to be accepted in society.

Adverts-

Focus on body appearence, domestic roles, passive, subservient, barely clothed- sex sells, draped over a man- showing the man has the power, they can do anything with a women and she'll do it. Dove and Lynx campaign, both owned by the same man- could you imagine a curvy big women in a lynx ad? the lynx ads shows how a man can use this product and he'll get a slim and sexy skinny women after him straight away.

EXTRA:

knocked up teens, women always needing a man, FRIENDS- rachel and monica- typical roles, pregant, married, in the kitchen. The Simpson's- Marge is a typical housewife.
